Jodi Farmer

Preschool Director
Pre-K
Jodi has served at AFCP as Preschool Director for 16 years. She also teaches the Pre-K class. She has also served in BSF leadership for 15 years.  Jodi has a B.S. and M.Ed. from Pennsylvania State University. She has been married to her husband, Douglas, for 33 years and has two children, Ashley and Emily and three grandchildren, Jack, Sadie and Sawyer.

“I have a passion for teaching children about Jesus.”

 

 

 

Lindsay Austin

Preschool 2 yr olds
Mom’s Morning Out Program
Lindsay has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught 2nd grade in Randolph County for 4 years. She has been with AFCP for 1 year, serving as a substitute teacher as well as assisting in the Mother’s Morning Out Program. Lindsay is married and has two boys that have both attended AFCP.

“The thing I enjoy most about working at AFCP is teaching the children about how much God loves them.”

 

 

Tonya McCoy

Preschool 2 yr olds
Mom’s Morning Out Program
Tonya has been a member of Adams Farm Community Church for 12 years. This year marks her 5th year teaching the Toddlers and 2 yr old class at AFCP. She has previously taught in the 4 yr old class and has also subbed at AFCP. Tonya has been married to her high school sweetheart for 20 years. She has one son, Logan, who is 16 years old.

“I am honored to be able to teach your little ones.”

 

 

 

Sara St. Clair

Preschool 3 yr olds
Sara has been with AFCP for 2 years. She has worked with young kids since high school and has taught Sunday School for more than 12 years. Sara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Western Carolina University. She has been married to David for 12 years and has 2 children, Luke and Zoe.

“I enjoy working at AFCP because I am encouraged to do my best, help the children learn and show the love of Jesus.”

 

 

 

 

Linda Jermyn

Preschool 3 yr olds
Linda has been with AFCP since 2001. She has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Elon University. Prior to teaching at AFCP, she taught children in various roles at her church.

“I enjoy many things about being at AFCP. I enjoy teaching with the wonderful staff at the preschool. I enjoy the look on a preschooler’s face when they are learning something new or doing something they think is fun. I love watching them grow. However, the thing I love the most about being at AFCP is that I have the privilege of teaching the precious little ones about the love of Jesus.”

 

 

Tricia Ling

Preschool 3 yr olds & 4 yr olds
Tricia has been with AFCP for 10 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Greensboro College. She has over 13 years of teaching experience, having taught at the Piedmont School, preschool at Gate City Vineyard, and homeschooling for over 13 years. She has been the Preschool Ministry Coordinator at Gate City Vineyard for the past 5 years.

“At AFCP, we view it as a ministry not only to the children, but to the families as well. We have an excellent curriculum that teaches ABC’s and 123’s, but we build all of that upon a strong biblical foundation.”

 

 

Lisa Newman

Preschool 4 yr olds
Lisa has been a teacher at AFCP since 2011. She has a Bachelors of Social Work Degree from Appalachian State. After college, she worked with the elderly as the Director of Social Work in a skilled nursing facility.

“Of the many blessings I receive by working at Adams Farm Christian Preschool my two favorite are getting to share the love of Christ with the children I teach and the time I spend with the wonderful Christian ladies I serve with.”

 

 

 

Chris Asbury

Preschool 4 yr olds
Chris has been with AFCP since August 2007. A graduate of UNC-G with a BS in Finance, her experience with children has consisted of being an elementary school & VBS volunteer.

“There are so many wonderful reasons I LOVE working at this preschool! But if I had to pick one, it would be getting to know the children and their families and developing meaningful relationships with them”

 

 

 

Hilary Lewis

Preschool 4 yr olds
Hilary has taught at AFCP for 17 years. During that time, she has taught in every class from the Mother’s Morning Out Program to Pre-K. Other teaching credits include Sunday School, VBS and the infant department of a daycare for 4 years. She has also helped care for the children of professional golfers during the PGA tournament in Greensboro.

“I love that the staff at AFCP is a faithful and loving group of women. I also love that I get to teach the Bible to children and help them store God’s Word in their hearts by memorizing verses!”

 

 

Marcia “GiGi” Thomas

Floating Assistant
Gigi has been with AFCP for 8 years. She started teaching at St. Paul’s Preschool in Shreveport, LA in 1987.

““All the teachers have a total and complete love for each other. Add that into everyday activities and interaction with the parents and the kids; it makes it such a joyful place to be. It makes my heart full just being there!”
